Trend Edit – Pebble Beach and the New Nautical

The New Nautical

Referencing the nautical trend does not mean that you have to dress in head-to-toe stripes or red, white and blue, the sophisticated take on this look is to incorporate accents of the nautical feel into your outfit. Our plain sailing trend board has some great examples of introducing subtle stripes by just wearing them across a section, such as across the top of a jumper or on the neckline of a top.

A blazer on its own will give your outfit a nice naval element, especially if you go for the blue jacket in our edit, which features very subtle stripe detailing. If you want to take a closer look, just click here.

You don’t even have to wear a pattern, using a base of the key trend colours like navy and white will add the right amount of nautical feeling. Don’t forget, this is a trend that can be easily updated each season as it never goes out of style, so every piece will be an investment.

Accessorise these outfits with classic RayBan Wayfarers, the sunglasses that go with most anything, for that on-point summer party look.

Pebble beach

Inspired by the picturesque beaches of Cannes, Brighton and Maine, our new edit, Pebble Beach explores delicate neutral pieces infused with pale teals, soft mochas and warm creams.

For evening looks one of our favourites is the pewter Georgette dress, essential for a dressier occasion with its statement floral embroidery.  For a blouse option, our silky-smooth mocha piece with gorgeous lace insets is a classic to wear from day to night.

For a softer approach during the day, try this natural-coloured top, accented with a white placket and neckline for contrasting style.  Finally, our brush-print skirt is a key wardrobe addition that combines light blues with darker browns and blacks for a look reminiscent of pebble-strewn shores.

Our favourite Tom Ford glasses set this outfit off perfectly and match the lazy, summer vibe of the pieces above. Bring on the sun!
